It is here

Well it has been a year, I guess even with all the ups and downs it has still been a good year. I am thankful to The Lord Jesus for all of our provisions. He has used this year to teach us many lessons and I pray they stick. I am thankful my husband is still working and that we have learned to drastically change our spending. This morning I looked in to my kids eyes and saw God, His fresh look on a fallen world. I decided to have a word to focus on for this year "Balance" I will be trying for more balance, I have a lot of titles to balance. Daughter of The Lord, wife (there are many titles that go with WIFE), mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, Dr., artist, business owner www.teridaughterofthekin.etsy.com nanny, Girl Scout Leader, volunteer, designer, blogger, maid, chef, and more I am sure I have not listed.
Balance may you achieve more balance with your life.

As always I am lovin The Lord
Have a blessed New Year

Another Recipe you won't want to miss

In the spirit of Turkey day here is my favorite left over Turkey meal ever.
-I feel like Becky Higgins, maybe her creativity will rub off on me.

Turkey Squares

2 Cups diced Turkey
3 oz. Cream Cheese
1 teaspoon Chives
2 T Margarin
2 T Milk
A pinch of salt and pepper
A package of crescent rolls

Mix all ingredients except Turkey together until smooth, add turkey and mix. Open crescent rolls leaving two of the triangle together. Lay on flat surface and smooth the center line together making two into one square. Scoop ½ cup mixture into middle, fold sides up overlapping each other just enough to pinch and seal the top and sides. Creating a pocket that is sealed. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minute until golden brown.

I always double the recipe that way you get to use the whole package of cream cheese. We server these with the traditional sides or all alone, because you usually can’t eat just one. I eat them plain but my brother and Mom eat them with gravy on top. Hope you enjoy.

The Famous Chicken Tortilla Soup

Even if you don't like chicken tortilla soup from any restaurant I know you will like this one. This is the only CTS I have ever found to actually like. My friends have been asking me for the recipe lately so I thought I would share it here. It is so easy I made it recently on a girls week-end get away. It make a lot but you can half it or freeze the portion not eaten for another time which is what I often do with my husband and I. Even though my son doesn't like it my niece does so even if you have children you will be able to serve this. I hope you enjoy!

The Best Chicken Tortilla Soup Ever!!

2 cans of Tomato soup
2 cans of Chicken Broth
2 cans of Beef Broth
2 cans of Pinto Beans
2 cans of Kidney Beans
2 cans of Rotelle tomatoes (original)
-It is a brand name it has chili's in it but it is mild as long as you get the original
1 can diced mild green chili's
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
3 or 4 chicken breast cut into cubes

toppings suggested, to taste
-tortilla chips
-avocado
-sour cream
-shredded cheese

Put all the ingredients in the same pot and bring to a boil, turn heat down slightly and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Soup is finished when the chicken floats.
-You can use already cooked chicken but I think it hold the flavor better if you cook it in the soup, reduce the time if you use already cooked chicken.

On a different note my cousins family has set up a web-site for her son who was just diagnosed with Leukemia and you can check it out if you want. www.rally4ridgway.com Thanks for all your prayers they are coveted!!

I finished Junes Circle Journal

I am so excited I just finished June Circle Journal pages for my friend Jorgie. Elena from Scrapbook Royalty and 11 other really talented ladies are doing a scrapbook of each others last year in a circle journal fashion. Well I was so excited about the idea and concept when they first announced it that I asked a group of my close friends if they would want to do the same thing. We started in February sending out pictures from January or whenever they chose and we are scrapping each others pictures. One person each month you send your pictures to and one person each month you get pictures from. It has been a blast. I have challenged myself to think outside the box and learn new techniques for this project. I hope and pray that some of them are not to far out there for the person receiving them. I am excited to see the finished project next January.

Here are the pages I created for Jorgie with her pictures of her sweet boy Adin.

Every year Arcadia fire department has a pancake breakfast to help raise money for local charities. My sister is an amazing party planner and is in charge of organizing it. Our kids always have such an amazing time there, here are a few pictures of my children from this years event.
This year they raised over $8,000 even with the swine flu threat and threat of rain, every year it gets a little bigger.

Tattered Angels - Glimmer Mist

When you listen he will talk!

My husband and I have been trying to find a church we like up by our new house since before we moved up here. We have been to at least 4 with a preference for 2 of them. It is so hard to not compare the churches up here to Revival Christian Fellowship our home church for over 4 years. We had a great group we were not only friends with but family and when we left it just has not been the same for us. We had it narrowed down between two churches and just not sure because there are things we liked about both of them. Well around Thanksgiving The Lord helped me to meet Dawn from Water Of Life one of the churches. She attends a once a month Free scrapbook night help at the church. I have been there twice and love it, we also started attending Water of Life every week and thought it might be our new home church. I am very grateful for the Lords guidance in meeting Dawn and helping me to get connected. Well that is not the church Caleb liked the best. He has been asking us to go back to Hillside for many weeks now. We tried to get there for the last 2 weeks and just could not make it. Well last week-end we finally went back to the one Caleb liked Hillside Christian. We dropped the kids off and heard 2 songs, the pastor came up to pray and then a couple came on stage and did a mini play. They were actors doing a skit as part of the thought provoking opening to the service. Well after the first or second line I knew God had a lot to say to me and that I needed to open my ears. The couple on stage, had just lost their home and were moving out. Humbling and humiliating was how they described it. At that moment I knew we were in the right church. I recieved a lot of peice that day. Thank you Lord for meeting me, holding me and getting us through. You are ever so faithful.

A Snow Blizzard

O.k so maybe it wasn't a blizzard but it sure was a lot of fun.
We normally go to Big Bear for Presidents Day week-end, my whole family goes Mom and Dad, Sisters, and our families. We go up Friday and stay until Monday. Usually very minimal T.V we do art with the kids, make some sort of food, last year it was chocolate lollipops and homemade pizza. We love to play in the snow, ski, sled and have snow ball fights when ever possible. Well this year we were not able to go so we had a day or two at my sisters instead. We had a ton of fun, and it even snowed!! O.k so the UPS man brought a box for my sister just in God's perfect timing and the kids played in the packing peanuts for over an hour it was so much fun. We even made our own bagels this year, and played in the rain.
I pray all is well in your piece of the world and that you too can find Gods gifts (Great or small) in the every day things.
This week-end for me it was time with family and a box of packing peanuts. Who new one little box could bring so much joy. Well I guess God did. Thank you Lord for time with family, so much fun and a little time were no one had to think about what if's or tommorrow. We could just play and enjoy the day.

Just Rambling

I'm not a writer so it may not be fluent but just wanted to get down whats happening in my neck of the world.

Check out one of the stores I teach at.
www.chinoscrapbookcompany.com
www.thescrappintable.com

I get to scrapbook tonight, for myself, Yeah!!
My amazing friends in Menifee and my family gave me a
whole album full of pre-done pages for my daughters baby shower
almost six months ago. They are beautiful and well EMPTY!
I finally made myself sit down and go through pictures and order
them from Costco. So tonight on my night away from the kids I plan on
filling my pre done pages with pictures of my sweet girls life.

Tomorrow I teach my first class, I am excited and nervous and wish
I had more students. I only got three sign ups total for three classes, so a
lot of driving but not a lot of income.
Oh, well, we should have a
good time anyways.

There is a big craft convention coming up and one of the store
I teach at and help make kits for invited me to go.
I have been in the past because of the store I managed
and can't wait. I love seeing all the new product
and believe it or not it helps me to not spend
as much in the long run. I see it before I get
to buy it so by the time it hits the stores it feels
like old product already. I plan on having fun and meeting new people. All the Fiskateers are meeting for a pic and I can't wait to see them. A Fiskateer is someone who loves Fiskars product, there is a web-site that we all get to chat, exchange ideas, give our feed back and opinions to fiskars, etc. Pretty much addicts with an outlet. if you love Fiskars check it out
